What customers say?

“ Came here twice during a six-day trip. Food tastes wonderful with excellent service by staff. The lady that manages/owns the place is really nice and understands basic English. Went there between 9pm-11pm during the week and it was quiet and peaceful. Their Bibimbap, Gimbap and Steamed Dumplings are tasty. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the Myeongdong area. They're open late which is a bonus. ”

“ Summary 4/5: Myeongdong's Hidden Gem, a warm embrace on a rainy night. Stepping into Janggeumi Jeonjib on a chilly, rain-soaked evening in Myeongdong was like finding a cozy haven. The aroma of savory broth and sizzling pancakes immediately enveloped us, promising a comforting meal, and it absolutely delivered. We opted for two dishes to share, starting with the Dumpling Soup (KRW 10,000). It was a simple satisfying bowl, the broth warm and nourishing, perfect for chasing away the damp chill. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Bindae-ttrok (KRW 22,000), the mung bean pancake. Crispy on the outside, yet wonderfully chewy within, it burst with savory, earthy flavors. Adding to the experience was the exceptional banchan. Each small dish was a delightful flavor, perfectly balancing the richness of the main courses. The service was efficient and friendly, a solid 4/5. Our food arrived promptly, and the complimentary banchan and drinking water were a welcome touch. Even with a large group dining nearby, the atmosphere remained relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, this restaurant offers a truly authentic and satisfying Korean dining experience. If you're looking for a warm, flavorful meal in Myeongdong, especially on a cold night, this hidden gem is a must-visit. The Bindae-ttrok alone is worth the trip. ”

“ Enjoyed the old school, traditional flavours of Ginseng Chicken soup. Love the gimpbap, ate every morsel of it. The rice is soft, tasty with lots of ingredients. Very niceeeeee, yum yum ”

“ Stumbled upon this place and I’m so glad I did. Best pajeon in town! And the bibimbap is great too. Really affordable and not a tourist trap like many places in Myeongdong. The ladies who run this place are so friendly too. Do not hesitate to come here. ”

“ The line at Menten ramen was too longest so opted for traditional Korean that day instead. The food is very good but also quite pricey. Had chapjae, seafood pancake, beef soup and banchan. All good and recommendable. ”

“ Must try their bibimbap! The crispy edges are what really makes it. We also had potato pancake and fried chicken. My three year old can't get enough. Grandma was so nice and friendly. I think she has lots of regular customers who she is really close with. She's like cooking and serving for her family. My son really adores her. ”
